Honda CR-Z – Looks Sportier Than A Hybrid

Honda, which is well known for its dashing designs and specifications, has launched the Honda CR-Z. This follows the steps of its successful predecessor, the CR-X model launched back in 1980’s. It was then a 2-seater with a sporty look. The latest addition to the crew is regarded by many as one of the most in demand hybrid on the market. In fact, it looks sportier than a hybrid, and that is why it is probably more special than the other vehicles. It is also quite effective from the fuel consumption aspect. The best thing is that it does not even sacrifice its elegance and style.

The CR-Z is the first of its genre in the sense that despite being a hybrid, it has been able to offer a sporty experience to the driver. It is equipped with a 1.5 liter i-VTEC 4-cyllinder engine and assisted by Honda’s own electric motor. Customers have a choice of a six speed manual or automatic transmission. The vehicle can generate a horsepower of around 122, and a torque of 128. The car basically runs on fuel saving mode, without sacrificing its performance. It is also classified in the small group of partial zero emission vehicles.

Drivers have a choice of 3 driving modes. These are econ, normal and sport. Depending on the mode you choose, the throttle, steering effort and power assistance are adjusted. If you are really keen on getting the best out of this great vehicle, the sport mode will definitely please you. It simply increases responsiveness. In fact, in sport mode, you get immediate feedback from the tachometer about your driving style. The sport attitude of the Honda CR-Z is evident through the use of an H-shaped torsion beam rear suspension and a Mac Pherson strut front suspension. The Honda Cr-Z looks sportier than a hybrid!
